SQRT8 QRNG+PQC

the ultimate quantum-safe pairing

While QKD offers unrivalled security, current QKD commercial products require access to a fibre network. In today’s world of wireless connectivity, quantum-safe protection must be extended beyond devices in fibre networks. Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) provides protection against quantum threats without the constraints of QKD, filling the gaps of today’s quantum-safe ecosystem.

Like all cryptographic algorithms, PQC needs good private randomness. In fact, PQC consumes more randomness than conventional algorithms. Tapping on SQRT8’s industry leading QDice™ QRNG, its quantum-secure randomness pushes PQC’s security to its full potential. This synergy between QRNG and PQC strengthens quantum-safe communications even at the most unlikely settings.

Together with our partners, we have demonstrated that a single board hardware on-board a 3U cubesat could facilitate the QRNG+PQC solution. Quantum-safe symmetric keys were established between the Low Earth Orbit satellite and a local ground station using NIST standard ML-KEM PQC key encapsulation mechanism, paving the way for quantum-safe communication for settings beyond the range and reach of QKD.

Its unique blend of qualities (security, affordability and range) is what makes SQRT8 QRNG-PQC a popular choice for consumers and businesses alike.
