Squareroot8 and Partisia Partner to Launch FracQtion, a Hybrid Quantum-Safe Solution Securing Communications Against Future Threats

Singapore, 29 September 2025 — Squareroot8 Technologies (SQRT8), Singapore’s homegrown quantum security innovator building a suite of products to safeguard communications, and Denmark’s cryptography pioneer Partisia today announce the launch of FracQtion, jointly developed product that combines quantum-safe hardware with advanced cryptographic software, delivering secure key generation and distribution to safeguard data and identities against quantum-era threats. The collaboration formalises a Joint Product Agreement signed earlier this year and represents a rare instance of co-development by Partisia, underscoring the technical complementarity between the two companies.
FracQtion brings together SQRT8’s quantum technologies, including a Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) with an in-built self-verification feature for fresh, testable entropy, with Partisia’s Multi-Party Computation (MPC), which enables confidential computation and policy-driven key and identity workflows. By combining physical-layer assurance with a flexible cryptographic control plane, FracQtion moves beyond standalone “black-box” hardware or software-only approaches, delivering a layered, quantum-safe architecture designed for finance, telecoms, and critical infrastructure operators.

This builds on more than SGD400 million that Singapore has invested in quantum research over the past two decades, underscoring the nation’s long-term commitment to building a quantum-resilient ecosystem.
